It was 1330 but i didnt notice that the associate charge some bs antivirus. By the time I walked out the best buy and realized, it was already closed. I'll be returning the antivirus today which would bring it down to 1300 total:cool:

I don't think you will need ANY anti-virus for a Macbook lol. I have NEVER had a problem. One "blue shirt" employee once told me, there are some pretty malicious malware that can get on Macs :roll eyes:. Not in my experience.

Now my gaming Windows PC, that is a different story. I need to run a malware and adware sweeper like every few days lol. :p

Most people don't know the MBA screen does NOT come calibrated from the factory. I highly recommend you to follow this and it will GREATLY improve your screens contrast and color. Worked for my 2015 like a dream!

Actually it made things worse IMO. The display is a LP***** one (that is, LG), so it is eligible to that color profile. However, it actually increases contrast which is a bad thing when watching videos (shadows become a plain black). I prefer to preserve dynamic range instead of increase saturation and contrast.

The MBA display is not better than the average TN display found in Samsung plasticrappy ultrabooks. The good news is it's not worse, and of course not the worst. I have the impression that my late-2009 Macbook and the classic MBP I saw in the store have better viewing angles, although they have a lower resolution.

The 2015 MBA is good for people looking for the best battery life in the market with an "office" workstation. It's not for photo geeks, but it's a very nice machine for other uses.

Perfect for what i use it for at the moment. Browse the web around the house, youtube, etc etc, it doesn't ever really leave home. I often have it plugged into my 27" Asus IP external display, so it turns it into a desktop with a 1080p display. I will unplug it when i feel like laying in bed and browsing etc. So that works for me. A retina would be nice but at the moment i couldn't justify the extra $600 i would have needed to spend for a smaller screen but more pixels. Hell for $350-ish i could buy a 4k external monitor and run it at 60hz via the MBA.

I will have my eye out next year hoping for a 14" MBR, if so i will probably sell my 2015 MBA. Until than, it works pretty damn good for what i need it to do.

I am used to TN panels as i had them on my expensive gaming PC's a bit ago. Because you can't get a ULTRA low response time or VERY low input lag IPS panel. I had a few BenQ gaming TN monitors. Although now i use a 5ms 27" Asus MX line for my Xbox One when i am not gaming on my large 65" TV. I actually prefer the smaller 27" monitor for gaming.

The color profile helped me a lot, because its not the grainer text that bothers me. Being i have it zoomed in a bit on safari and makes it look more clear. Its the off contrast and colors that bother me being used to my 27" IPS Asus now.
