Hi! I wanted to update my OS to Sierra, it's been 1 hour and my computer screen is still saying it has 20 minutes left. I just bought this computer 3 days ago and I am scared to break it if I touch anything. It is plugged since the beginning of the update. I read somewhere to press Command L to bring up a log that would show if the update is installing thing in the background, but it doesn't show up either. What should I do?

What you need to do is put it back in the box and return it from wherever you got it the new Macbooks are a coming in less than a week!

In a month in my country. Also, I couldn't wait and restarted my Mac, it gave me some errors and wouldn't boot up, I opened the recovery, it says 5 mins remaining but nothing is moving. It is my first Mac and I had to have an heart attack...

Edit: Can I return it while it is broken like this?
