rMBP 13 no Image Retention issues?

It seems that occurrences of image retention on 13 inch rMBPs are rare or not occurring. Perhaps they are all Samsung screens?

I did the test, mine has retention but is not noticeable unless you go close to the screen and look for it specifically and only with the grey background. That and it fades away quickly. Maybe thats normal?

What is the difference between 13" rMBP late 2012 and early 2013 apart from processor bump?

Not really enough posts / votes to tell as yet, but it seems that the 2013's are wat ahead...Mine is 2 weeks old and I have had zero issues at all.

I have a late 2012 13" (refurb) and the screen is perfect.

Absolutely no issues at all.

how do u check the screen? which is the commad line one the terminal? the on for the rMBP 15" doesn't work for mine 13"...😕

Same here with the 2012 13" rMBP. I had to run the checkerboard test for 30 minutes to even notice a faint IR issue. I have never noticed it in everyday usage.

Oops just voted wrong, sorry.

I voted 'I have an early 2013 rMBP and have no IR' but this should have been 'I have a late 2012 rMBP and have no IR'.

I did only buy my rMBP 2 weeks ago but it was a special deal and when I looked up the serial number it was made at the beginning of November last year so it's definitely way before the release of the 2013 models.

But I have no IR, and I've even looked for it.

Looks like generally the 13" is okay
