Seems a little odd. I found the case in the US store and it states that it is made for the Retina display. But using the NZ store it states for 15" Macbook Pro. But both descriptions state. "Fits MacBook Pro and MacBook Pro with Retina display
"
You reakon its the same product? I emailed Apple but no reply yet.

Yes, my issue is with the front clips. Tomorrow I'll return it and try another Moshi in the store. If it's the same, I'll just ask for money back and buy another one. It's weird because the reviews say great things about the case.I had fitment issues with this case, ended up returning it. The top piece would not fit. The bottom piece did fit but the front clips kept sliding off very easily. For the most expensive case in the market its definitely ridiculous. Packaging was great, product was terrible.
Yeh, I just need to find somewhere I can buy the Speck. Or I'd just go with the online purchase. For now, I just hope that the other iGlaze in-store fits perfectly because I really liked the case. Not a problem, I would recommend maybe going with the Speck cases. I've had alot of bad luck with the smartshell's and i'm still dealing with their customer service. But I would maybe give the See-Thru a try, as I am trying to get my hands on the See-Thru soon once I have enough money to afford it![]()
I'll make sure I post the result itt.Yeah Moshi iGlaze was nice. But too many reports of the rMBP cases not fitting. Keen to know how things go with yours.
Those cases look very cool, are they available on the online store?
With your hammered case, it is that good? would you recommend it for others? Any issues with it creaking, scratching the aluminium finish? or just any issues in general? Also how often are you cleaning it out?
Thing is, I live in Europe and most of the cases I can buy online, come from the USA and it's almost certain that it'll stop at customs and then I'll have to pay the taxes. Besides that, I don't really know which one to choose. I fear that I buy a new case online and, if I get issues, the replacement process becomes hard/expensive.It's definitely not normal, and I wouldn't risk it. I've had the same issue and gave up in the end and returned it. I would highly recommend looking at other brands, there's plenty of reviews on the speck cases but not on the moshi or incase. I've had 3 speck cases 2 warranty replacements and both with the same issues. Hopefully speck can help sort it out. Also to note, I put my moshi bottom only case on and it pitted my laptop whilst it was in the case over night. That is definitely an issue for me.
Yes but Apple only has Speck or the hammered Incase (which I don't really like). And the Specks have been getting awful reviews :/If you purchase it through apple.co.uk. You should not be paying any taxes as apple should be covering those which is incl in the price. And apples return process is great well here in New Zealand it is. If you're not happy they will organise a pickup pre-paid.
Yeh, maybe you're right. I own a nice Incase sleeve and that's more than enough to protect the rMBP when on the move but I wanted something to protect it when I'm using it as well. The aluminum is amazing but any minor bump will leave a mark and I want the rMBP to be impecable for as much time as possible. Meh, I don't really know what to do lol.I believe they all are getting bad reviews. Personally, I would recommend you don't get a case due to the hassle you might encounter with issues. I ended up getting the Thule Gauntlet 2.0 case/sleeve. I wanted a case personally but with all the issues I had which hopefully speck sorts out for me without asking annoying questions. Moshi is just as bad as the others, only thing I liked about the Moshi was their packaging lol.
Yes, the warranty is another thing I'm worried about. You get 2 years in the EU without Apple Care so I still have more than a year. I don't want Apple to tell me they won't fix something because of a ding.I'm in the same boat as you, any dings or bumps and warranty is immediately void which I beleive is a bit BS. If its a drop damage then warranty should be void but with a ding thats just ridiculous due to the casing made out of anodized aluminium. I'm currently just waiting for Speck to sort my issues out, if they don't then I will be on the hunt again for another case![]()
