rMBP 2012 - kernel panics & crashes

Going on two weeks now my Retina Macbook Pro (mid 2012) has been behaving strangely. Kernel panics and crashes of for example Safari or Safari tabs are becoming more frequent. Last week Disk Utility told me that my disk needed repairing (Invalid Node Tree), so I used fsck in Single-User Mode to do just that. Yesterday though the drive became corrupted again, and fsck was unable to fix it and I couldn't boot into the drive. Today I did a full format of the drive and a clean install of Mavericks. This didn't help, as Safari crashes everytime I try to start it. Disk Utility again tells me to repair the disk. (Error: This disk needs to be repaired using the Recovery HD. Restart your computer, holding down the Command key and the R key until you see the Apple logo. When the OS X Utilities window appears, choose Disk Utility).

I think this points to a hardware problem, as I'm on a clean installation here. I suspect the SSD is broken, as it keeps getting corrupt. The kernel panics of last week frequently had error codes relating to hfs plus swap. However, when I check the disk with http://www.volitans-software.com/smart_utility.php it seems fine on both the short and long tests.

I'm at a loss here, can anyone help? Crash log and System Info attached.

EDIT: fsck also thinks my disk is fine, only Disk Utility seems to have a problem with it.

Have you tried an Apple Hardware Diagnostic?

Apple's alternative to the NTFS file system, HFS+, is notoriously prone to file system errors of the sort that would require repair via Disk Utility.

If you're getting consistent errors, then yes, hardware seems the likely culprit.

Samsung SSDs are rated for ~300 TB of writes, and are unofficially reliable over 1.2 PB (petabytes). If yours is defective, take it to the Apple Store and demand a repair or replacement immediately - your data is at risk and your workflow is being encumbered.
 
Sounds like you have a bad hard drive there, or less common a bad drive cable.

Do you have an external USB enclosure you can put the drive in and option key boot to it to test. If it works fine that way, that would point to the internal cable as the issue.

The Retina Macbook Pros don't use hard drives, and don't have cables to the SSD.

Do you have a panic log you can post? Safari crash logs aren't very helpful in diagnosis. Also, update to OS X 10.9.4 to see if the computer gets more stable.

I'm on 10.9.1 because of the fresh install, the panics and crashes occured under 10.9.4 as well though.

Here's a panic log from yesterday. I'm also going to try installing OS X onto an external drive and see if that solves the problem. If it does, then it's most definitely the hard drive.

So I'm done installing Mavericks on an external drive, and I just got my first kernel panic when running from that installation. As the SSD is out, I think it's the RAM. (AHT hangs for me at 1 second, and that's the RAM stage) It could also possibly be the logic board, but I'm not sure how to know for certain. I'm definitely going to take the machine to the Apple Store, but I won't be able to do so next week. If possible, I'd like to diagnose some more so I know what to tell them and be sure they fix the right component. (I'd hate to break out cash when not necessary)

(AHT hangs for me at 1 second, and that's the RAM stage) It could also possibly be the logic board, but I'm not sure how to know for certain. I'm definitely going to take the machine to the Apple Store, but I won't be able to do so next week. If possible, I'd like to diagnose some more so I know what to tell them and be sure they fix the right component. (I'd hate to break out cash when not necessary)

The first panic implicates the GPU. However, the RAM and GPU are permanently affixed to the logic board so that is what Apple will likely replace.
If you don't have AppleCare, Apple will probably offer a flat rate "depot" repair which will cost something like $350-400 and will repair whatever is wrong with the computer.
Also, note that if you redownload the Mavericks installer from the App Store, you'll get a full 10.9.4 installer and won't need to update.
