Just purchased the FT rMBP, coming from a late 2013 model, I was kind of disappointed that the new one does absolutely nothing to relieve the GUI choppiness that some on this forum were suggesting was a hw problem.

Anyways, I noticed after removing the new one out of the packaging that there is a slight thump coming from inside as I tilt it 90 degrees to the sides from flat and facing the front. It's not like a loose screw but more like a part that slides very slightly as you tilt it from side to side. Since I don't recall this with the older rMBP which I also sold recently, can someone try this out and let me know if they hear the sound? I'm wondering if this might be specific to the FT edition so those with the early 2015 rMBP also please try this out.

Mine too, "clicks" when tilting from side to side.
Can it be the new touchpad making noise?

Interesting, I just tried it on an earlier rMBP of a friend and the sound is there too, so it must be part of the construction.
