I intend to buy 3 24" displays to use with my rMBP.
Each one of them having a resolution of 1980*1200.
(I would deactivate the screen of the laptop when the 3 monitors are active)

Is it going to cause any problem? I mean:
    - Is the HDMI port going to support a resolution of 1980*1200?
    - Am I going to see any difference of quality between the monitors plugged on the thunderbolt ports and the one plugged on the HDMI port?
    - Is the rMBP going to run smoothly with a total resolution of 5940*1200?

    Hi again,

Can anyone tell me if I will be able to output 1980*1200 through the HDMI port?

Yes, the HDMI port should be able to give you that resolution.

You're not going to see any difference in quality between the connections.

The combined graphics capabilities of the HD 4000 and the nVidia chip should be sufficient to make it run smoothly, more so if you don't want to play games (high frame rates) but work with it.

I believe the resolution is 1920x1200 not 1980.

No, Thunderbolt and HDMI are digital signals.

    It should run fine.

I'm currently running a 2560x1400 screen and a 1920x1080 screen on top of my main 2880x1800 screen with no problem. No slowdowns at all.

won't be able to do multi-screen gaming (though that's kinda duh and if you wanted to do that the price of an rMBP could build the ultimate gaming beast) but i've driven 3 1920X1200 monitors for general use with less firepower than the rMBP has so technically it would work

and people have confirmed that the ports are adequate, so yeah it'll work.

Referring to the gaming comment. I find just having one external screen and having WoW on the screen will cause the fans to fire up quiiiite a bit.
