rMBP, BootCamp & Windows 8

Hi guys!

Just a quick question. Is it possible to install Windows 8 without the use of an external CD-ROM/DVD drive or USB pen?

If I buy Windows 8 directly from Microsoft's website then I have an option to download Windows 8 to my desktop but I have no idea if I could then install Windows through BootCamp with the Windows files saved on my Mac desktop.

It's all very confusing.
 
There are ways to do it without external media, but it's all very complicated. Generally people burn the files onto a USB flash drive to install when they don't have a DVD drive as is your case.
