rMBP GPU + CPU = 1.2GHZ

    I don't know what they were doing with that laptop, perhaps they had a defective model. But I don't believe their results. Anandtech found that throttling and temperatures were improved over last years' model.

    The CPU throttles down to save power when it doesn't need the extra.

    Where does it say that they kept the fans at 2000?

    They should compare the non-retina MBP 2012 and the retina MBP.
    Comparing Sandy and Fermi to Ivy and Kepler doesn't make sense.
