I have a rMBP 2.3 with 16GB and NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048 MB. I use Lightroom and Photoshop along with a Dell U2410 display. I am very happy with the performance. I would like to upgrade to a larger display. I am thinking of the Dell UP2516D display and was wondering how the performance will be in lightroom and photoshop.

Unless the screen resolution changes it won't make any difference.

The Dell up2516D is a 4K display, it's resolution is 3840 x 2160 vs 1920 x 1200 in my current Dell

Used that monitor, swapped it for LG 34uc87. Even higher resolution. Not even a glitch.
So if u want that monitor, buy it. You computer can handle 2 of those without any problem. I have the same rMBP, but I even used rMBP13 base model in the same setup until I purchased this rMBP15.

It's not a 4k display, it's 2560X1440. The Dell 4k displays are 3840X2160, not the quad HD ones.
Sorry I had the wrong model number the Dell I am thinking about is $k it is the Dell P2715Q will that work with my mac book pro and will the performance be decent
