so not complaining just asking if anyone else has this... with a dark screen (watching full screen movie) i notice some light leak from the leds along the left side of the screen. higher the brightness the more noticeable...anyone else have this?

I have the same issue. Just noticed it last night. In dark scenes, you can see a little light leaking on the left side near the top.

Are u gonna persue a fix or you ok with it?

I just tested mine, no light leak whatsoever and no dead pixels.

I saved the images here and opened them in full-screen in preview zooming them till they filled entire screen area. Cranked up the brightness to max, put myself in a fully dark room, and inspected for dead pixels and light leakage.

Results: it appears I'm lucky to have a genuinely flawless screen.

This is good to hear and I think the others should return it and get a new one. Since you paid a hefty price for it and there shouldn't be any flaws!!

I don't have a light leak, at least from what I've noticed, but I do have a ****ing purple tint! 😡 I've already exchanged it once.

Unlucky you then, no purple tint here either. Maybe I'm on some special Apple list, my iPad 3 was pretty much flawless too.

I'm also seeing like 9-10 hours battery life on light usage of the machine.

I don't know yet - I'll watch a film tonight on it and I'll see if it bothers me. It's not a huge deal, and not super obvious. People don't need to freak out over it I don't think.

I haven't had any problems with light leaks or dead pixels since the iPhone 3g/s. Never had a tint problem.
