hey guys well i was watching a dvd with my usb super drive a while ago till idvd frooze while trying to wake drive up. I went into finder and could not find my drive there so i reconnected it and still no luck. Connected it to the port on the right side and it works flawlessly.
None of my usb devices work on the left port, i went into console to check for any crashes or diagnostic messages and here's what i get

What could be the issue? As i plug in a pen drive its light blinks once and then its blank.

Edit: Usb 3.0 Devices work but none of my 2.0 devices

You have tried restarting the rMBP, right? Not sure if reseting PRAM.. etc would help.

It looks like your USB bus is having problems. I'd take it in, and show them the console session.

yeap i restarted the mac did a pram, smc reset. Also did an aht test which just shows me a hard drive error which apple said is normal.
Still trying to figure out if its software or hardware since usb 3.0 devices work fine.
On the other port all devices function
