OS X Rocksmith 2014 with Apogee Jam?

I'm thrilled to see a Mac version of Rocksmith 2014. I loved the original Rocksmith but rebooting in Boot Camp to use it was tiresome. I will certainly be buying 2014 to run it natively on the Mac.

Has anyone tried 2014 for Mac with the Apogee Jam guitar interface rather than the official Rocksmith cable?

I know that rocksmith 1 did require the cable, and so far rocksmith 2014 states you still need it.
I would love to use my Native Instruments AK1 instead, because it has monitor out, for no latency on the guitar.

Anyways I'm very happy that Rocksmith is on mac now, lets hope you can tweak settings like you can on windows to reduce latency. I could reduce latency to almost non existent on windows with tweaking.

Last I saw the 2014 version comes with a cable. Just make sure it says that on box.
