I can't believe my bad luck. My powerbook at random sets up a computer to computer network. Even if I'm connected to another secure network. I'm sure this is a major security risk. There seems to be no option to get rid of this network however I seem to be joined to it. And so incidently does my friend next door.

Wierd:confused:

You don't, by chance, have "Internet Sharing" turned on in your Sharing prefpane, do you? This might do something like what you're describing.

I've never used the "Create Network" feature before, so I don't know if it needs to be turned off somehow once enabled...
