I still fail to see how ill prepared Apple was, I mean wow... I can wait for mine and that's all fine and good but it blows my mind how limited the stock was just in general! No pluses to be found hardly anywhere? I'm not even trying to hate on Apple cause lord knows I enjoy their products but wow, lol.

I got the AppleCare email as well with the September 18th date, not sure if it is normal but let's be honest, I won't keep this phone 2 years so I'm not really concerned
Just like the iPad Pro launch they messed this launch up. It's like they make them on demand. Soon as your preorder goes in they start manufacturing devices. They only have a small quantity for launch assembled Is crazy. The way the JB Plus was delayed looks like they had a quality control issue this time.
They are pretty flexible if you have to take the phone in for service,however once you get your phone you can call support and give them your tracking number and they can change it for you.
I got my Spigen Liquid Crystal (Jet Black version) case today. As soon as my iPhone arrives, I'll post pictures if anyone is interested.

I got the email at 8pm exactly... It states the 2 years starts at the time you activate your phone and will adjust your end date accordingly. So don't worry about the end date shown in the email.

This happens every year. They are saying Apple will have sold 100 million iPhone 7 and 7+ by the end of the year. Who can properly plan for that? Each year the numbers go up. All it takes is for one year to go the opposite way and they will lose their shirts on contracts. So better to be thin than to be thick.

Yeah I guess it makes sense when you put it that way, still kinda sucks for the consumer though.
While UPS is still convinced that they will go from China to Ohio in a day and a half, I'll actually prefer it arriving on the 23rd instead of the 21st like the Apple app says. I'm off on Friday and I don't want to miss it on Wednesday.
Original ship date 10/4-10/10, got shipped email today stating 9/23. Did a UPS track and now showing phone in China with a delivery of 9/22. Apple order says 9/23, but I'm guessing with the time difference of "end of day" in Hawaii could mean the next day already for Eastern time?
yeah i have several cases/screen protectors coming in the next couple of days too but so should the phone...so the ying won't be without the yang for long...

sign up with UPS for them to leave it at a local UPS facility and you can pick it up anytime that day...it was free for my phone but I had to pay 3.50 to "upgrade" my cases to ground delivery so i could send them to UPS facility

I have a feeling 4-10 Oct wasn't going to happen. Apple is pretty known to send out your orders sooner than expected.
Still processing. At midnight last night the phone I wanted (128gb MB 7+) was in stock nearby. I would've made the reservation and went the 45 minute drive to pick it up today but the wife didn't want me to be away from her (we have a 6-week-old baby). The wait continues.
I have accepted that I probably won't get the phone until between Oct 4 - 10. This despite ordering only 35 minutes after the initial release time. Talk about high demand.

128gb matte black via Apple Store an hour after preorders started and still stuck in processing limbo. Chatted with an apple rep and they mentioned they're processing them in the order they were received.

Any of you selected Authorize Shipment Release via UPS website's tracking detail? I know Apple has a Pre-sign print out to tape to your door... do I also need to enter via UPS website?

Been following this thread since the beginning .. couldn't sleep tonight for other reasons so pulled up my Apple app and status changed from PFS to 'shipped'. There's a UPS link but the tracking is not yet updated. Status had changed from Processing to Preparing For Shipment on Friday AM.

UPDATE: Original estimate for JB Verizon 128GB 7+ was Oct 10-17th.
I just got shipment email from Apple. Apple is really ahead of the game with the estimates.

I use UPS shipment release all the time. I just used it for the Apple watch. UPS will just leave it.
Problem is if it's "lost" UPS will hold you liable. So if you trust your driver then do it.
PS. I see my UPS driver every day. I trust him.
