I'm using next also and mine shipped. So that's not a correct statement as far as I can tell.
I think the reps are guessing just like the rest of us. I do suppose the carrier, time stamp of the preorder, availability and popularity of the make and color of your phone and that some take little longer to manufacture and payment method all figure into the equation. I'm also sure there is some very complicated algorithm at play to manage millions of orders, but also some dumb luck.

same here... ups says delivery tomorrow and apple says Thursday... Thursday is probably more believable
Well mine initially said delivery of tomorrow on UPS website and then changed to Thursday by UPS again. My theory is my friend who is a sprint customer got his shipping info today and is scheduled to have his delivered Thursday as well. I bet they waited to load all of the phones for the one plane which explains why mine had such a long layover at Shenzen. All good though, phones should be in Alaska by 4 pm central time! I'm ok just waiting 1 extra day after all of this.

Alright so here's my current deal:

I'm flying out to my parents on Saturday and my phone is currently being shipped to where I work. However - at 4am when I was ordering, I stupidly entered in the incorrect zip code for delivery.

At this point, I'd really like to just re route my phone to my parents place but without a tracking number, I'm unsure if Apple would restrict something like this. I've been in contact with them and they neither can edit the zip code nor signal UPS to hold it at a facility for me (not that this would matter, i'll be gone longer than 5 days). I'd really like to avoid my phone having to go all the way back to Apple :/
Once it hits the USA hopefully you'll have more options in dealing with UPS.

Yeap, now back to China like stated:
ZhengZhou, China 09/21/2016 1:05 A.M. Arrival Scan
09/21/2016 12:28 A.M. Departure Scan
ZhengZhou, China 09/20/2016 11:09 P.M. Location Scan
09/20/2016 5:11 P.M. Origin Scan
China 09/20/2016 6:07 A.M. Order Processed: Ready for UPS

The email confirmation time stamp of your order is the important part of this puzzle. It seems that for most the model of the phone along with color and time stamp is the determining factors on shipping.
Right, makes sense. So I didn't order until 1:10p(cmt) on 9/9. Do you think there's a chance that those that ordered later in the day will get shipped before the original 10/4-10 delivery date?

Awe man....UPS now states my phone will be here the 23rd. Yesterday it said the 22nd! Bummer!!!

EDIT: Sorry, looking back through the pages I see I am not the only one who got the date pushed back. Ugh, well I guess I can wait ONE additional day, lol!

Still "preparing for shipment"..............................................................

Probably be the first and last time I ever pre-order an iPhone. Would have been better off just waiting couple days and going to the store.

It should.

Most people have, but there have been a few that have been left behind.

My wife's that shipped the other day made the connection no problem.
Hope mine is able to make its connecting flight in Incheon tomorrow morning then. Run little iPhone, run!!!

It might ship early but you're almost 12 hours behind when a lot of people ordered and they are still waiting to ship. In a few days the picture should become clearer for you.

No you wouldn't. I've been checking stores since Friday with no success.

Got the email this morning from Apple saying shipped and expected on 9/26, UPS said 9/23 and I've already ask to hold at UPS CC so that I can pick it up Friday during lunch time =P

Confirmation email received from apple on 9/9/2016 at 12:16am PDT
JB iP7+ 256GB

My original delivery date was on Thursday, I guess I won't be getting it until apple's date (Friday). It's not letting me see anything due to switching the delivery to pick up. I just wish I could see if my date moved!

I live in louisiana. Rep told me it's because I'm using AT&T next and others may be using IUP and because they're using IUP there's got priority over me smh

The rep doesn't know what they're talking about, I ordered via IUP and my card was charged at 12am on the 17th and I'm still waiting for a ship notice as well.

I looked at the one store closest to me saturday and I would have been able to set a reservation for 45 minutes later to pick up the exact model I'm waiting on.
I still can't believe people are finding these. I've tried a few times right when the reservations opened up, there has only been one day with a 7 Plus model available in all of Utah (it was a 32 GB Rose Gold for AT&T)
