Someone might have mentioned it, but their are 6 UPS flights getting into Louisville from Korea between 1:00am and 2:30am. That should be good for a lot of the people waiting. I just called Apple directly and got someone that after talking with his Supervisor told me that he was told that my phone is definitely not in Korea any longer Nd he believes I will have it tomorrow. Who knows what to believe anymore. Hopefully get woken up by email from UPS showing that it's in Louisville. Goodnight all.

Not much longer till they land!!!

In other news....I just scored a 2nd iPhone on the IUP (pick-up in store tomorrow). Mine is the one being shipped, on the purchase I did it under my phone number. The one I just ordered is under my husbands line. When I pick it up tomorrow can I make that one mine (put my SIM in it) and my husband can take the one coming *hopefully Friday?!!!

I found this thread from 2012. I hope they are not just getting updated but are still moving.

https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/zhengzhou-china-7-35-p-m-stuck-in-asia-club.1455928/page-3

Interesting thread .. I get all the discussion about how much we're all looking forward to receiving our phones. Even the worry / anxiety / checking aircraft tail numbers, sleuthing tracking and airports .. etc. It's what this forum is about !

However calling and screaming at poor CS people .. oofff ... we are all getting our phones much earlier than expected. Perspective people !

Not sure why I put myself through this but I just called UPS again and got switched to Apple rep who said my iPhone is definitely in Korea. I asked how do you know for sure and her response was because that's what it says on my screen. I said then why does your automated system say I'm getting it tomorrow? I asked which of you is lying? She stuck to her story of it being held up in customs and UPS and Apple have no control over this. I said you want me to believe that the same shipment that was held for more than 36 hours in China miraculously also got held up on the next leg of its journey? I said nothing you say or have said makes any sense or is based in logic. I asked have you ever had a delivery that didn't get scanned on every leg of its journey? She said yes but it's rare. I said I've seen it many times. One day it shows it's on other side of country and next day it's at your door. I guess I just needed to vent on a UPS employee. Still have no idea what to believe. Think we won't know until 3 or 4 am what's what.
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't there a typhoon or something like that in Korea or Japan or somewhere right now?

There are multiple planes landing in lousiville over the next hour or so. Hope you guys see some movement

Yeah let's hope that's all of us who have missing scans :D I mean it's plausible right? Lots of planes means lots of iPhones!

Trying to reserve a phone and it's saying the service is unavailable...is this happening for anyone else? I'm starting to think I'm just not meant to have this phone anytime soon.

Okay guys here is the real problem.... Kim Jong Un has infiltrated South Korea. He is taking the phones into North Korea and installing spyware on them... then he's putting them back on the plane so that they can ship to your homes... but not before they make a secret stop to the NSA facility in Utah so that they can also install their brand of spyware.

I just reserved a phone like 10 min ago...not working anymore? All 3 stores in my area showed "available tomorrow" for the phone I was looking for :)

It probably varies by store. From what I understand the ones available at 12 are just the ones from reservations people didn't pick up. 8am are newly received shipments.

Any movement from the 8:01 Korea crew? UPS 99 is pulling in shortly and a few others from ANC have arrived into Louisville.

Time to use the Breathe app on my Apple Watch, LOL. Everything is going to be okay. Checking back in an hour. #801Crew
All of the feeder flights from KSDF take off in the next hour or two to the hub airports. Either we see something by then or we are doomed for showing up here and back to Seoul. Comon arrival scan and import scan

I think the only thing that could make this launch worse is if the plane crashes.

You could die in a car crash because you were checking the ups app while rushing home to meet your UPS driver. I'd guess that might make this launch worse for you. That 7-10 day delay from launch...despite being up to two weeks earlier than promised when you clicked the buy button...must be soooooooo hard to cope with.

I'm baffled by the ridiculous insanity hyperbole in this thread. Unless your phone is delivered after October 10, what on earth does anyone have to complain about? And if it's delivered before October 4 how on earth is this the apocalyptic WORST LAUNCH EVAH! Remember when we had to actually wait in a line for half a day to maaaaaaybe get the exact model that we wanted? Hillarious.

The tracking and excitement is totally fun. I'm there stuck (maybe) in Korea with many of you. But let's not get nuts about it!

This launch by far has been the worst for many different reasons. The shipping times, UPS screw ups, in-store stock before pre-orders, IUP members not able to get phones, apple app/site not going live for 10-15 min once pre-orders opened (for some)...the list goes on. It's just been ridiculous. I've pre-ordered almost every year....this year by far has been the worst.

People are here because we enjoy tracking our shipment as it travels across the world and into our hands. The majority of peoples complaints is about how their packeges are being lost or stuck as it travels through the UPS network.

What I find more perplexing is why you would even bother to come to this thread just to complain about us complaining. If you have no interest in this then you shouldn't be wasting your time.

Move along.

I'm here because my phone is in Korea too supposedly. I very much enjoy the tracking, excitement and fun aspect of all of this. 97% of this thread is awesome. And honestly the hyperbole freak outs are awesome too in the ridiculousness of it all. Everyone will get their phones! Probably well before October 4! That's earlier than promised which is why I find it so funny.

Apple told you October 4 - 10. So if you get it sooner how is it the worst ever? Sure the tracking is weird but we haven't even passed the date it indicated we'd receive yet. For me that's Friday-- 17 days before October 10 by the way. I waited in a line for 8 hours for the iPhone 3G. This is FAR better than that.

All of the people in this thread (at least MOST) probably shouldn't have ever had the ridiculous 10/4 delivery date in the first place. We should have had our phones on launch day. Most of us ordered within 20 min of pre-orders going live. The ball got dropped in a major way. I don't see this as me being "lucky" I will get it before 10/4....I see it as my darn phone needs to get here. We shouldn't have had to wait all this time :/

Meanwhile, yes today I got to sit online on my couch and stalk this site and UPS for my phone. I happen to be on vacation and nothing else to do, it's quite nice! Who cares if we want to try to have a little fun with this (joking of planes crashing into the water and our phones living with the fish).....lol!

You don't get it. I won't waste any more of my time. o_O
