Just finished chat with Apple, take this for what its worth. I had a delivery date of today from them. Originally it was the 21st from UPS. So once the delays started happening the 23rd definitely seemed more realistic. Since UPS is off in never-never land this week though that didn't happen. I'm sure Apple pays them a crap ton of money though so I would think they have some pull when it comes to dates that are missed by this much. Some may say well its not that much but in reality UPS originally gave the 21st so its now 2 days past due for them. Apple as we know puts a cushion in everything.
So I basically wanted to know if they were pushing for Saturday deliveries, this was the main response-
Not to worry! I know the carrier may not have come by yet, but if there has been any delay in receiving it today, based on the tracking we're set to have that delivered tomorrow without a shadow of doubt. I deeply apologize for the missed expectation in receiving that, but the priority is definitely to get that in your hands as soon as we're able. If necessary, we can get a pre-sign for the delivery tomorrow so that there's no further headache!
Now I love the term "without a shadow of a doubt". Yesterday the rep assured me that it would be here today, so take that with a few grains of salt

haha I said the same thing very early this morning when my phone arrived in HK, clearly going the wrong way. Some dude is sitting there saying watch this, Im going to scan this bundle in HK, people are going to go nuts!
