We're switching from desktops to laptops and would like a portable desk to use with recliners.

Anyone have one that they use successfully? We'd like it to be rotating and fold away, so we could get it out of the way when not using. (and be stable enough as to not drop and break our laptops!)

Recliner's gonna limit your options somewhat.

There are end-tables with a fold-away shelf, that MIGHT work. But with a recliner, the positioning is going to vary depending on how reclined you are.

How about a Lap Desk?

Typically found in hospitals, usually with wheels to move around easily. Not sure how it would work with a recliner.

What other stuff would you be putting on the portable desk when using it with recliners? They are called laptops for a reason.
i know.... but i think i want a little "desk" of some sort. the only other thing would be a mouse as i'm not a fan of the trackpad.....

mainly just want a little desk/table to slide away from me if i just want to recline and watch tv (currently i just lean back in the desk chair and put my feet on the desk.... and reach over to use the iMac if i want.)

we're getting rid if the desks, getting recliners (arriving tomorrow), putting up a bigger tv.... more of a lounge vs home office set up!

ya..... the recliners are the issue..... i've looked and looked and can't find anything that gets good reviews or isn't super clunky! I found one from Levo that looks interesting except it's got a clunky counter weight on it! (i use a lego for my kindle when i don't want to hold it.)
