Guys if you could afford an apple watch edition what color would you get rose or yellow gold?

They actually updated the Edition model with the Midnight Blue Classic Buckle to have rose gold case instead of yellow gold case like it used to have. I was at an Apple Store last night and the difference between the two is very subtle.

That makes the decision even harder!

If it was the special edition watch I'd go rose but in the aluminum I went yellow. The rose in aluminum looked too pink for my taste. As far as plating goes I wouldn't do it for two reasons 1) it voids the warranty 2) it is a fake and to me that's a no no.

Here is my yellow gold sports. Looks fantastic. I actually considered the rose gold when I saw it but decided against it.. not because it's a feminine colour, but because it's VERY limiting in what bands you can couple with it. The yellow gold looks good with dark blue, black, white, red (can't WAIT to get a red sports band with the gold) and even lighter tan colours. The Rose gold tends to look good with very light white hues and kinda a bit kooky with everything else.

Very nice! I think I'll buy the Milanese loop band for now and wait for a good reason to get another Apple watch in gold

That's because it's an artificial rose gold color. Real rose gold looks good with many colors. They even updated the Edition with the midnight blue classic buckle to have rose gold case. It's a great combination and very subtle.

In all seriousness, go and try them on and see how they each look with your skin tone. The yellow gold will look better on some people, and the rose gold will look better on others. If you have cooler undertones in your skin, the rose (or aluminum, or SS) will better suit you. If you have warmer undertones, the gold will better suit you.

As far as the "pink one" looking girly - the idea that pink is only for girls/women is archaic. Welcome to the 21st century where real men wear whatever colors they want.

In real gold, either would look tasty. I've got a rose gold watch at home and it doesn't look feminine at all (could be because its a 45mm though haha)

For aluminium yellow gold for sure, although the rose gold iPhone does look nice.

I've said this before in the iPhone forum. Color is gender neutral, get what you want regardless of what others may think. If you like the rose gold, go for it.

I plan on plating my SS AW and I have the black sport band
Do you have an idea of who you're sending your watch to? I personally would not recommend WatchPlate. They screwed up my display (splashed it with something, and now the oleophobic coating is leaving huge blobs when smudged), and the gold has marks in it. I had to send it back to them, and it just got there yesterday. I would recommend https://thetimepreserve.com. If my watch comes back and doesn't meet my expectations, I will be turning to them next after filing a PayPal dispute against WatchPlate and getting my money back.

Edit: Here's a picture of what the screen looked like:

Yep, I already warned the OP in his other thread and he knows.
