I might be wrong, but I thought OS X has monitor rotation for a long time now?

What can you do with monitor rotation? I don't see the point.

    Enlighten me.

it depends on the GPU. I know my PB G4 did NOT have rotation until I installed ATI's driver (not the Apple version of the driver). It is pretty useless, but I am still curious where the rotation option is on the MBP SR. I can't find anything like that on mine.

if you want to know more about monitor rotation, you want to talk to Multimedia.

dells and some other monitors can swivel to portrait mode

up to now, the C2D had ati so it worked fine, but the SR did not b\c it is nvidia

ATI drivers for osx all have rotation, for nvidia only a couple do

go to displays when you have an external monitor plugged in.
