Rough Screen Protector

Hi

Just purchased a new glass screen protector and it does not feel smooth on the surface. When i run my nail across it makes a scratchy noise like the surface is uneven.

What could this be? Has anyone seen this before?

It’s probably a paperlike screen protector. They are made that way as people like the feel when using the pencil on it. Does it also appear matte?

Hmm that may be the reason. It does not appear matte, shiny like glass is 🤔

Just realized that this was for a phone and not iPad so the paperlike protector for using with the pencil is a moot point. Sometimes the matte protectors have a more fuzzy or rough feel but not likely if it’s shiny and totally clear. So I’m now as perplexed as you.
