Hi,

I recently got myself a MacBook M1 Air and noticed that there's some circular thing under the keyboard between the shift key and the fn key on the left bottom side. I'm just curious what this is as I'm quite sure my old MacBook didn't have anything like this.. Has somebody seen anything like it? It has a ribbed texture and the color is quite similar to the MacBook's space gray but a bit darker. When I tried touching it with a thin piece of plastic it didn't seem to move.

Apple should have hidden that thing deeper inside. Now people will start figuring out what that thing actually is and I am not sure they will like what they discover.

Shhhh. Don't tell anyone about that! It's how Tim Cook and Apple spies on you. Touching it will disrupt their spy network!

The assembly person left a sticker in by mistake? Maybe they damaged a part and the person didn't want to get in trouble so they covered it up with a sticker. Hmm....... the plot thickens
