iPhone Route non-iMessage SMS texts to alternative app

I love iMessage and the security that comes with it. However, I have lots of friends or clients that have SMS green texts. I know this is less secure.

Is there any app that can automatically take my green texts? Like, they go to SecureSMS app rather than iMessage app?

I don't understand how Whattsapp or whatever they are called work. I know some are not secure and have Chinese backdoors. I appreciate all info!

I don’t believe there is a way to do that and that is by design for security reasons.

Once the message is out there in the SMS ether it's vulnerable.

You could try to get those folks to use an encrypted messaging app like Signal. Good luck with that!
