Hey can anyone recommend a router that has fantastic (and reliable) range? Preferably something less than $150 but Ill consider $200 if its justified. Thanks

While it is true that the physical design of a router can have some impact on its wireless range, the biggest impact is the amount of power they are allowed to transmit at. Unfortunately, all routers are limited in their transmit power by law to prevent unwanted interference, so essentially most routers will perform similarly.

If you really need good range, I suggest you look to purchase a router which supports DD-WRT (google it), and install that firmware on your router. This will allow you to bypass the transmit power set at the factory, and easily double your range compared to most routers.
