Hi, I recently installed Roxio Toast Platinum to write the CDs on my Mac Mini (Combo Drive CD-RW/DVD).
When I started to write data CD (just 2 video files) it failed almost at the end. 52x CD-R Maxell, (max speed)
using Mac OS X and on PC writing the same files were successful.

Any ideas?

Try writting at a slower burning speed. Might have gone to fast for the drive, or the drive is faulty, both would contribute to a buffer under run and a failed burn.

thx, guys I'll try both suggestions.
I'll try to set the writing speed to lower (which is kinda strange)
I'll also get the update for the software

also try this

when in toast if you go to Recorder<Recorder Settings<Advanced and check if the "Buffer Underrun Prevention" box is checked.

Doesn't always help with the "random" write failures.

I have found that I am forced to use lower "write" values in order to get Toast to work with various media.
