I'm using a free Feedly RSS account to sync everything, then ReadKit on OS X and Mr. Reader on the iPad and Newsify on the iPhone. All synced with Feedly.

I remember when RSS was huge and every major site had an RSS feed. I think most still do but it's not something most people read, it's kinda niche. Sort of got replaced by Facebook's News feed and Twitter.

There are quite some RSS feed lovers here on the forum. See this topic regarding similar looking apps like Pulse News (which no longer exists). I'm still using various RSS feed apps daily. Like Feedly, Newsify and Heartfeed.

Can someone explain to me why they have Reeder ? Doesn't it do the same as Feedly ?
I don't want to pay to find out ;-)

I probably couldn't describe the Feedly interface if you asked me. I was a Google Reader user and Feedly was an option to transfer my feeds to. From there it was a matter of finding another interface and I fell into Reeder. I had toyed with NetNewsWire for a while but I wanted something I could use on multiple devices.

Reeder is just solid all around - stable, clean. I have set swiping features on iOS such that if I swipe one way it goes right to my Pocket account. Very handy.
