So I mainly use my laptop while lying down and would like to preserve the black rubber feet when using elsewhere. This may sound a*** but I really don't like the look of the scuffed up feet. Plan to install the matte bestskinsever and do not intend to use a hard case.

I bought a used rMBP that was absolutely pristine except for the rubber feet.
That was literally the only thing keeping it from being mistaken for new so if those things are important to you then by all means take care of the feet any way you can.

Thanks. I actually installed the BSE foot cutouts from the full body skin to cover the feet as show below:

I can't imagine how it must be to worry about this kind of thing... but if you google "replacement macbook pro feet" you'll find hundreds of ebay listings.

So, eat, drink and be merry... for tomorrow you just buy some new feet.
