So I've got an old Ruby iMac that I'm interested in using as a sort of media center, and as such I would like to connect it to my TV since the TV has a 27 inch screen and so can be seen from across the room. I got a VGA --> S-Video/RCA adapter from monoprice.com. It came today, but it doesn't work. The G3 has a VGA mirror port in the back (it works fine with my external monitor, so I know the port works). I even downloaded SwitchResX so that I could mirror @ 60 Hz, but that didn't work either.

Any other ideas? Has anyone done anything like this, does it work? Did I just get a lemon cable?

Thanks!
