Rugby 08 Profile Save

I have Rugby 08 on my mac but it won't save the profile. When I try to create one it always tells me it is unable to. Would anyone here know why that would be and how to fix it?

I think, its the unofficial cider port of Rugby 08 (I think one of EA's games).

Saving profiles is not supported in the game.
