With the recent rumors that the plus may get Pencil support I am assuming that there will be a revision to the Pencil somehow. Do you guys see there being a small and large pencil? One Second gen that is sized better for both? Or does Pencil support seem out of the question for any phone.

Anyone's guess is as good as the next. Device leaks make it seem like it will not slide into the phone cases (ala stylus), but it does not do that on iPad anyways. I think it will just be enabled support on the iPhone - meaning if you have an iPad Pro, it will just work. If you want a stylus, you can buy an Apple Pencil and it will work on your 2018 iPhone <insert name>. And then you will see a whole slew of new cases to support carrying the Apple Pencil with your iPhone.

However, to your point - if they do not shrink it, it will be a PIA to carry. Measuring in at 6.92 inches will be taller than any iPhone.

My guess is a smaller Pencil. The current Pencil has a lot of volume dedicated to the battery. I'd be surprised if Apple didn't learn anything from AirPods to make the Pencil smaller.

I’m hoping for a smaller, more revised Apple Pencil for the iPhone. I find the attractiveness there to use it for the alleged 6.5 iPhone X Plus, but not in the current size it is right now, as I think that’s too large and more suited for the iPad. So it should be interesting to see if this rumor proves to be true or not.

Hope it's about half the size. That pen is huge (nice, but huge). I would buy smaller one in a heartbeat. And for me iPads also.

Keep your fingers crossed.

I'm fine with the size of the pencil but I'd like to see 2 things added:
1) Haptic feedback to mimic the feel of pen/pencil on paper
2) The ability to flip the pencil over and use it as an eraser

What feedback do you want from the pencil? When I use a pencil, it just works. No pen or pencil I use vibrates as I write.

The eraser is going to be extremely hard given that it is just a cap for the lighting port. You would have to put a sensor in the cap and a gyroscope in the pencil to active that sensor when it is flipped. Lose the cap, lost your eraser. Now, Apple would be more then happy to sell you a new cap for $19.99

Too much credit there. It’s not about “Apple Learning.” It’s always about how far they can pull the consumer along prior to being forced to change.:apple:
