Run Photoshop off an external HD?

I have the full Master suite of CS4 running on my internal drive, but no longer have just Photoshop installed. Is it possible to run it off of an external HD?

if the installer lets you install it on an external drive it should work, so apps will only let you install it on the main partition. the .plist files will probably still be on the main drive.

If the installer let's you, it's possible. The reference files will still be on the computer's HDD tho.

if you are planning to use that drive with multiple computers photoshop will only work on the machine you installed it on.
