I'm looking at monitors and was debating between getting an Ultra-wide or sticking with a 16:9 aspect ratio. For a 16:9 display, I was considering a larger format display (43" likely), and I realized that running a 4k 43" screen at 3840x1600 would give me a 21:9 desktop at a size larger than most UltraWide monitors on the market (it would be a tad bit larger than a 40" UltraWide).
Mac display settings don't show any ability to run a display with the resolution cropped on top/bottom to a 21:9 aspect ratio. Does anyone know if there is a software solution to accomplish this?
