Mac OS X 10.5.0

wow thats a really good score!! that card is over 3 years old!! my HD2600 only gets 6320 at HD res... i shall have to check wat its like near ur res.

Guys, please forget this benchmark since it makes no sense at all.
This is the only benchmark I've seen that you can't guide yourself by the numbers to have an idea how a game will run and your gfx card compares to others.

The scores above were in Tiger. The same machine in Leopard (10.5.0) scores 6830. Translation the iMac HD2600 drivers still suck! 🙄

mine scored exactly that aswell!!!!!!! 😱

i find it completely outrageous that my x1600 gets 8520, while the HD2600 gets 6830.... wtf!!! 😕😕

Just be happy its not freezing in the middle of the banchmark! 🙄

lol true. i never had that problem tho, even though i updated to that watever it was.

really need to clock the HD back up tho.. any ideas??? i thought a graphics card is for gaming, not for sleeping.

ATITool 0.27b2 clock the GPU up by steps of 7MHz and the mem by 9MHz

iBook pwnage ;-)

Great thread, and although I'm late to this party, I just wanted to post my lil' humble iBook G4's stats. First, the machine:
1.2 GHz G4 12"
1.25 GB RAM
OEM 30 GB 4200 RPM drive
Radeon Mobility 9200 w/32 MB RAM

And now, feel the _awesome_ power:
1024x768 (native); 32-bit color
Score: 903 🙄

I'll need to test my 1.25 GHz x 1 MDD next. Thanks for the neat thread!

Just retested my MacBook under Leopard. It now scores 1107 vs 968 in Tiger. Not that Leopard feels any faster from a graphics card perspective. 🙁

Mac mini (1.5GHz Core Solo) with 512MB RAM.
GPU:GMA950
1680x1050
OpenGL ver:1.5 APPLE-1.5.16.

Score: 720
FPS: highest was 1016

oh serious. that...is....awsome!
i didnt know 0.27 was out. *goes to atitool webpage*

thanking you muchly 🙂

Be careful with that. If ATI Tool doesn't work, search for AMD GPU Clock Utility and use the same strategy.

Keep in mind that we don't know how the fan speeds work under XP, and raising the core to a miserable 700Mhz to gain 5fps might melt something inside the mac. Even at the stock 600mhz the back of the computer feels like it's going to be set on fire after gaming one hour. Now imagine at 700 or 800😉
