I would just put a screen protector on front and back. I have the Power Support on mine. I hate the side films because they tend to peel off really easily.

A good front and back protector should retain the look of a naked phone. Plenty to choose from. I'm using an SGP leather on the back and a SGP ultra crystal on the front. Have also used a phantom skinz on the back which I liked. I don't use side protection since the steel band seems pretty durable. Plus I don't like the feeling of anything on it. Oh and my phone goes into my front pocket were it resides alone.

Mr. Cheeto, holsters can be useful (personally I don't like them) but what kind of pants are you wearing that requires "digging" and "muscle memory" to pull out your phone? MC Hammer pants?

Uhoh! Uhoh, uhoh! Uhoh! Someone done brung JPG's to the party!!! >8/

But srsly, pants typically have large baggy pockets if they are not slim or even mildly form-fitting. I've seen people reach inches beyond their wrist to retrieve something from a pant pocket, whereas my pockets are typically wrist-deep.

Muscle memory: I was referring to how simple it is to retrieve a phone from a holster, as it can be assumed the holster will always maintain it in a certain location and orientation. It's like the difference between a purse and a wallet. On the job, I can't afford to have to fumble in a pocket with change and miscellaneous items. The same way I need a toolbelt because I don't want to have to throw nails, a hammer, and a cutter in my pants. These things need to be in a consistent location.

LUL. Nice try, but "reaching" for correlations as evidence to bolster your claims is child's play. What's next? "The reason you lash out at society is very apparently a result of your grandmother having been born under a bad sign and General Mills discontinuing the blue diamond marshmallows in their Lucky Charms. Have you ever considered bloodletting?"

Hah. But seriously, I'm bored of this. Nobody here seems to be capable of participating in the fun.

Don't cram stuffs in j00r pawkuts when jur iPhone is all in dere, brü. Nuffs=nuff.

Dude stop freaking out. i dont care if you use a belt holster. it's obvious that it's not the stylish thing to do now, regardless of any benefits you use it for. You honestly seem like someone who feels insecure about how they look and feels the need to defend themself...

no worries, seriously...i dont want to change your mind. just stop persistantly arguing about it.

if your pockets are wrist deep then what's the problem? i think you just want a holster so people can see your pretty little phone. here's a hint - none gives a ****.

No. People that throw their phones in purses and pockets and then dig around like Zoolander pulling his briefs off under his pants look like tools.

One double-pouch pocket and two holsters goes a long way, in my case. That's only 3 belt-worn items. The pocket, my iPhone, and either a pistol or more recently a taser. What more could one need? With a pocket, I don't have to empty and refill my pants with common items every day, either.

Sorry but I don't wear tight pants like you do.

Wallet: back pocket
Keys: front pocket on their own
Phone: other front pocket on its own
Coins: coin pocket above pocket with keys

Still got other back pocket for storing nothing because that would look silly.

No need for a case at all.

This is funny!
But it is a problem when you want to carry your phone in your pocket, as my pockets are usually full of dog biscuits, keys, sand and other crud. That wouldnt be nice if it got inside the charging port.

My old phone had a tether and I could put it around my neck, but there is no way to tether your iPhone, well,,,,,, yes there is, but when I saw my husband with a tiny electric drill aiming for it, I said no way.

So I bought an Aquapack, it keeps everything clean and has a tether. I wore it to a beach cocktail party around my neck last evening, as the dress I wore had zero pockets.

And I can take my phone kayaking or swimming.

Though I do like the earlier suggestion about the glasses microfiber pouch with the drawstring. I will buy one of those soon, a bit 'dressier' than the waterproof case, eh.

Typical important phone call in pouch in pocket person answering scenario: (if they ever hear it/vibrate in the first place)

-ring one.....that's my phone
-ring two.....reaches into pocket...c'mon get the f out of my pocket
-ring three...phone finally out of pocket....f'in pouch, let's go
-ring four.....phone finally out of pouch
-ring five.....hello...hello (went to voice mail already)

But hey, I'm cool.

I changed my ring tone to my dog barking, and therefore missed several calls, just thinking she was barking at something outdoors.

So I changed it to some great blues piano/guitar song.
If I hear it now, I know darn well its not my dog.

Fair enough. I guess I'm used to wearing and seeing most people in form fitting pants. Your phone comes out the way you put it in :p

I use this wooden case, it slides out easily, but the wood is hard enough so I can put it in my pocket, with keys and coins
when I put it on a table in a restaurant I usually get comments on how great the case looks :)

I also find most cases very ugly and make it look too big.

Not really a case, but a protective cover with my dog's custom picture.
Not easily confused with other iPhones.
