I noticed this today that only ram riser A slot 1 & 2 is running very high compared to others.

FBDIMM Riser A slot 1 & 2 are running much Hotter (75'C) than the Ambient temp (23'C).

Is this normal?

If you're using RAM with non-Apple heatsinks then yep, its quite normal. Turn up the fan speed a bit and it should bring the temps down a bit and be fine.

All my server-pull RAM (8x 4 GiB) with standard heatsinks sit around 78°C. Fans kicked in noticeably when they hit 80°C, so I swapped them around, switching the positions of the hottest with the coolest sticks. Now they all stay below 80°C no matter what I throw at them.

As a follow up, I dusted my Mac Pro with a small compressor I just bought today and now my RAM temperatures are more than 10°C lower. Wow!
