I'm considering using a mac pro as an application launcher so that I can launch Windows VMs, Linux VMs, etc. for development and testing purposes as well as have OS X for testing purposes.

One hesitation is that I want to run Internet Explorer 7 (but could get by with 6). Can I use Parallels to launch IE7 on the Mac Desktop (coherence I believe it's called). Our software is already tested with Firefox and Safari but only a minority of our customers use those browsers.

    Thanks!

Yes, you can run IE7 in Parallel's Coherence mode.

Or VMWare's Fusion (although I prefer Parallels) :)
