Running one monitor off another GPU/CPU

Basically, I want to take a monitor I've currently connected to one graphics card, but use a DIFFERENT card (or the system CPU) to handle its OpenGL/video decoding workload. Anyone know of a way to do this?

Uh... You would *REALLY* need to give us more information. What kind of system (Mac Pro, MacBook Air,) what kind of application, etc, etc. Can't answer your question without more information.
