Appreciate any help with this error. It pops up and I have to restart my computer to get things working again.
Never had this error on my 2020 13" Intel MBP.

Thanks,
Chris

As an aside, ALSO my restart doesn't restart, it just shuts down.

Which Mac are you running Monterey on? the 2020 MBP? How much RAM?

Sorry, overlooked the title. ?

Check ram usage in activity monitor. My guess, the control center memory leak. If it keeps happening u might want to check out 12.1 beta. A user said it's fixed there but idk can't check. Don't have my MBP yet

Yes, post an image of Activity monitor.

A couple of commands to tame MacOS’ ridiculous memory handling:

brew install stress

sudo purge

I’ve been getting the “out of application memory” error since some time this summer, on Big Sur. Not just a Monterey issue.
