I have one program that I will have to run in boot camp. The rest of the time, I would like to run in Parallels.

Will I have to install XP twice to do this and thus take up more hard drive?

No, just do a regular Boot Camp install and then tell Parallels to use the Boot Camp partition :)

This is really useful to do as well, I usually install a bootcamp partition and then manage it from OS X, installing software and such. the good side is you can get all your software installed while multitasking in OS X, so when you actually have to use windows you don't waste time with software installs running
