I was compiling some c code last night (2 programs at once in 2 terminals) was pretty intensive on the cores. My macbook was sitting on my desk, but istat reported that the temprature of the cores was 69 degreed c 😱 surely this is to hot for the processor to continually be running at without experiencing thermal runaway and other heat related errors. The fan was going at 4000 rpm and the bottom of the macbook was noticeably hot, after 15 mins of doing nothing the temprature was still 60 degrees c. Should I get apple to look at it or just not worry as it didn't actually shut down?

If you are worried about the heat, you could buy a laptop cooling pad. They run around $30 for a solid model from Targus or whatever.

Get yourself an icurve to reduce the heat under the laptop in addition to what has been said😱
