I'm going to be purchasing a 2014 MacBook Air for my father. He needs Windows 7 to be able to use Quickbooks.

What do I need to purchase or install in order to get Windows 7 on the computer? Do I only need Parallels? Since he already has Quickbooks for his windows computer, I can just use the same one after purchasing parallels correct?

You don't even need Parallels, unless you want it. You can run Windows in Boot Camp. You do need a Windows 7 installer.

I haven't shopped for Windows in many years. Try Amazon or other online retailers.

If I were you, I'd stick to 8.1. It's already very stable.

Oh, and if you're a student, you can get it for free, via DreamSpark.
