Urban here. Grew up in the burbs (sort of, not a rich/middle class suburban area)

Now i'm in Zone 1, London, near Paddington. The Area is pretty residential so not too noisy and busy, but plenty of restraunts, shops etc close by(In Bayswater and Paddington). Also 25 min walk from Soho :) 15 min walk to Notting hill, 5 min from Hyde Park. All in all good place to live.

I don't think i could do the burbs again. Nor rural, i suspect it would get boring really quickly.

I guess it depends on the person, in as much as some people here have said that can't understand how people can live in Central London, I can't see how people can live anywhere else :)

They don't call it suburban hell for nothing.

I hate being tied to my car as much as i am living in the suburbs.

I miss the downtown areas that i use to live in -- just gotta finish this year for a my degree and it's off to a big city school for me.

ya i like urban

I live in the suburbs...but it only takes me 13 minutes to get to Philadelphia. So I guess I have the best of both worlds.
