What does this mean when I am out and about with my phone having this ?

I don’t think there’s anything to fix on Apples side.

If you see SOS, No Service, or Searching on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

If you see SOS or "SOS only" in the status bar, your device can still make emergency calls. If you see No Service or Searching in the status bar on your iPhone or iPad (Wi-Fi + Cellular), your device isn't connected to a cellular network.

I got a message about someone who use to work there and same problem. Was surprised I actually found someone who had the same issue.

probably could, but would come at a cost for sure especially since Apple would need to partner with another company (if through Apple) and then probably pay whatever they charge at maybe just maybe a lower rate since it would be though the partnership

They did. It is called SOS. If you are out of cell phone range, you can use the SOS feature of iOS 16 on an iPhone 14 to send a text via satellite.

Use Emergency SOS via satellite on your iPhone - Apple Support (CA)

With iPhone 14 or later, you can use Emergency SOS via satellite to text emergency services when you're off the grid with no cellular and Wi-Fi coverage.
