I didn't write a review either, simply stated my observations = opinions. I didn't think I showed bias, I also use the S25U and 16PM, owned the Pixel 9 Pro XL before that. 🤷‍♂️

Well, since he didn't even bother to reply it is pretty obvious that he is just a troll.

It really comes down to personal preference in some areas. For me, buying the 16 Pro Max 6 months ago was a huge mistake. I paid full price, outright at the Apple Store. My previous phone was a 13 Pro Max that I used for 2 years and sold in mint condition for only 400 (the going rate). So I ended up paying nearly 3x that amount for the 16 Pro Max.

And what did I get? Barely any improvement. Maybe 2% overall. Definitely not worth the 1200. I’m a big AI user and had high hopes for iPhone AI features, but it’s basically non-existent—a Mickey Mouse version compared to what Samsung put in the S25 Ultra.

I’ve always disliked the pale, warm tone Apple forces on their displays, and I 100% prefer Samsung’s screens. As for photos, it’s a mix, some shots are better on Apple, some on Samsung but overall, I prefer the look of Samsung’s photos. The S-Pen is also super fun and genuinely useful. Having owned several Galaxy Notes, I’m already a fan.

I recently demoed the S25 Ultra and I’m seriously thinking of switching. iPhones don’t hold their value better than other phones anymore, and even though my 16 Pro Max is mint, I’d still lose at least 400 if I sold it.😖

Disable TrueTone in Settings. That will bring the iPhone display to exactly the same white balance as S25 Ultra (I used them both side by side). Also S25 Ultra is more pale in the colors vs Apple at default settings but you can put S25 Ultra in high saturation mode which makes it pop more (but photos then look very oversaturated etc). The anti-reflective screen is wonderful and S25 Ultra and makes everything pop more without losing color accuracy at standard settings - I like that a lot.

For point and shoot in the regular camera app, they are both about the same in performance. The big difference is when you go Regular RAW on iPhone. Then it performs on a whole different level versus S25 Ultra.

Agreed. Expert Raw on Samsung is unmatched. The amount of detail I was about to capture in Gulf Shores on my S25 Ultra just blew away anything I ever got on an iPhone.

Then you probably misunderstood me. RAW on iPhone is on a different level than S25 Ultra. Expert RAW does not provide real RAW files but rather already remosaicked fake RAW images.

I really liked my S25 Ultra, mostly because of the screen but sold it because of the camera.

Samsung used to provide true Raw files until the S23 series I think. I wonder why they stopped doing that.
Perhaps because of ProRaw which isn't truly Raw either?

You should check out my images in the S25 Ultra thread from Gulf Shores. Definitely no issues with the camera. Absolutely blown away by it.

I am sure it is possible to take great photos with S25 Ultra. I had one myself and took many photos with it.
