My wife has a problem with her S3 gps watch.
since we have upgraded it to 7.1, she had 2 incomplete workouts.
She runs with apple stock app, without her phone.
the workout starts normally and it gives the right distance, but the run map is truncated and it misses all the first kilometres (yesterday 7km missing for a 15km workout)
Usually, it works nice, but she had this bug two times.
I have unpaired/paired the watch and upgraded it to 7.2
Hope it fixes the issue.
Does anyone have the same problem?

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem and am looking for a fix.

Did you manage to find one?

Thanks.

We have upgraded to 7.2 after unpair/pair.
For the moment, it works, but she has only done small runs.
So ... wait and see.
I suspect that the watch has rebooted during the run, the workout has been automatically restarted/restored, but in this case you lose the map (HealthKit limitation)

Could it be accidental screen activation? It's worth trying out the water screen lock to see if it ever still happens, I used to get this a lot when wearing a rain jacket when running because of sweat build up.

The issue has happened a couple of times - once the GPS map started ok but then stopped when we took a break and I paused the activity. Once I resumed, the map never started again but the distance and time were correct at the end.

Yesterday, I did a walk and didn't pause at any point but the map stopped 1/3 of the way along the walk yet the distance and time were again correct.

I've tried unpairing/pairing so I'll see if that sorts the issue.
