Resolved S4 "Unlock Mac" Compatibility

Does anyone know if a S4 is able to unlock my Mac if I am still running High Sierra (10.13)?

I recall that when S3 and 10.13 came out together last year, S3 could only unlock Macs running 10.13 because 10.12 could not recognize the newest watches.

I would appreciate to know if anyone can confirm one way or the other if S4 requires upgrading to 10.14 in order for "Unlock This Mac" to work.

i am running 10.13.6 and unlocking with my brand new series 4 running watch os 5.
