Hello, this has been bothering me quite a bit as I couldn’t find an answer so I’m hoping someone on this board will know. To my knowledge, Apple/Nike has dropped the “+” symbol in “(swoosh)+” on the back of the watch in S5. BUT there are also ones with the plus symbol! Images attached. Does anyone know why some have it and some don’t in S5? Thanks!!

Thanks all for checking. Hmm, I wonder if the one I have (with +) was made in error, but put into production anyway?

Just checked mine, I'm in the US, and I DO have the little plus beside the swoosh. I wonder if it's an identifier of some miniscule hardware change, or US vs. Rest of the world.

ohhh, thanks for checking! Out of curiosity where did you purchase yours? From Apple? Mobile carrier? Big Box store?

Actually, I purchased it on SWAPPA.Com, much less money for a virtually new watch.. :)
Ah okay, is it the cellular version? If so, would you happen to know if the previous owner used Verizon? Mine was purchased through Verizon so now I’m curious if Verizon’s batch all have +

The listing didn't say, so I have no idea. I would be more inclined to think of the US vs. Rest of the world difference, but you'll just have to wait and see the responses.

I'm not positive, but I think Nike stopped calling their stuff Nike+ somewhere along the line, though I'm having trouble googling it. If that's the case, likely some watches were produced before the change and others after.

That would make the most sense, but I’ve seen ones without + that are in the US. But yea, i guess we'll have to see.

Yea that's what i thought which is why the packaging, faces, bands, etc. have the + dropped in S5. Having it produced before the change is possible.
