Is it any wonder resale value of samsung handsets falls through the floor.

Probably because it's 6 months into the life cycle and the fact that Samsung is probably pulling an HTC w/ going back to SD slots next time. There is no way they can make the same phone w/ upgraded specs and retaining the same issues.

PS, might need to grab square trade. Apparently no warranty for the darn thing.

The beauty of trying to buy a non carrier samsung phone in the U.S. ;)

There are comments online about suboptimal performance on US networks despite having compatible bands. I have no idea on whether or not it is true, just FYI.

I got a Verizon S6 that is unlocked, it is mind blowing the amount of crap preinstalled on this phone. I took screenshots off the all install apps page and a couple of the disabled apps page, it is over 40 screens. I am going to upload them to imgur and post a link so people can see. Yes I know a lot of it isnt normal apps but there is still an insane amount of crap installed

Thats a pretty sweet deal, contemplating since I could also use this on AT&T as well.

Well, I tried to cancel my order because of warranty issues since apparently the US Samsung doesn't honor it since it's an international device (go figure and something that makes Apple > Samsung in terms of customer service). So I either have to find out the country of origin and deal with it by adding Squaretrade or dealing with an international warranty or refuse the package. Who knew this company has an archaic method of return unwanted purchases?

ah thats unfortunate, I've came close to buying an international samsung model a few times, but I don't have the balls for it. Too much risk :(

I really really hate that they only sell through carriers in the USA, as an ATT user I would only consider Tmobile Samsung phones and of course just buying a Tmobile Samsung phone off contract is a weird process too because tmobile really wants to sell you their service (and they arent on sale like the international ones often are).

T-Mobile gyped me on a Note 5 return. Didn't wave a restocking fee when their machine to check if a phone was defective wasn't working. I had speaker and audio output static.

So, you had a defective device and T-Mobile didn't want to exchange it? Were you still under your 14 days?

They offered to exchange it, but I declined because I was not satisfied with the purchase of $750 including tax for that phone. I was within my 14 days. I will be calling customer care to discuss a bill credit or refund of my money because I am not too found of what happened.

What a bummer! I'm still debating whether to leave ATT and join TMO... Have you ever had any issues with customer service?

Micro SD slot is one of the early rumors for the S7 that's floating around blogs. So is a dual camera. All the rumors I read so far states, the battery will still be sealed.

You were screwed over on that. Was it Samsung or T mobile that refused?

I don't believe they refused him, he just didn't want to spend the money on the device.

Edit: @nviz22, I just noticed your avatar, are you from Mia?

I spent the money initially and expressed that I may want to return it, but the speaker and audio output issues I had sealed the deal on my decision to return it. Yes, I am from Miami too. Go Canes btw.

I am working on rejecting my package. I feel like the company that sold it to me has an antiquated system where after an order is placed, it cannot be cancelled and the package has to be rejected. The warranty was a huge blow as much as I want to keep the phone.

Yep, there isn't a warranty. I wish I called Samsung prior to the purchase because Monoprice told me it had a warranty. I could get Squaretrade for like $5 a month or $99 for 2 years, but idk. I did however get a brand new M9 from the defect one HTC sent me and they fixed it. I was planning on selling the M9 and keep the S6 but I might just sell the M9 and return the S6. Is it that big of a risk on my part to keep the S6?
