When my iPhone 13 (Verizon) is powered off, my AW Series 8 does not receive emails. The error message is "unable to connect to service" despite the fact I am on LTE with 2-3 bars connectivity. Apple said it could be due to the small antenna in the watch.

Also, when I try to compose a new email (even when the phone is on) most of my contacts are greyed out. However, when generating a new text, all contacts are enabled. Whats up with that?

Per Apple's website - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205547 I should be able to send and receive emails using the AW (GPS + Cellular) when my phone is off. I cannot do so, and wondering if anyone else has the same issue.

Two separate Apple techs and a Verizon tech were clueless on these questions.
